Your Thoughts and Feedback Are Appreciated!

Well another quarter has come and gone!  I have enjoyed getting to know all of you and hearing your opinions in class!  When we started together, most of you seemed apathetic about politics, and now you are ready to go out and change the world!  I wish all of you blessings and success in the future, and hope that you stay in touch.

So for our last blog post, I would like to get your thoughts and feedback on the class.  "What did you like or dislike about the class?  What could I do to make it better?"  Answers are due no later than Wednesday, March 23rd, 2015.  After that, the blog will be down until class resumes next quarter. Enjoy the break!

  1. I like that it's very open and it's very interesting to hear everyone's point of view. I feel maybe more activities would make some lectures a little more interesting. It's been really nice out, should have went outside for class once.

  2. I loved how respectful everyone was to one another's view points. I love how despite going in being very disjointed and careless about the issues i'd compile to vote eventually; I've found an interest not necessarily with conservative mindset but my own political opinion apart from apathy. Now if I don't agree with their spoon-feeding, i'll get passionate before meh sets in.
Thank You for offering the platform in which to do so. Class, and Stephanie. Love You Guys! God Loves You!

  3. I really liked how everyone was comfortable to share their opinions on the issues that were being discussed. It was good to see that even though the opinions were very diverse everyone respected the views of the others. Having class discussions to talk about current issues I think is just as important as talking about how we made it to this point in our country and the laws that were made that have paved the road for where we are today.

  4. I really couldn't see any that I disliked about the class. On the first day I thought that this class would be boring and I would have trouble staying awake since it was a evening class, but I was wrong. I had so much fun and learned more than I ever did in middle school and high school. I had alot of fun and got some good laughs as well. I really can't find anything that needs to be corrected. Thanks for the wonderful experience and I really do hope I get another class with Stephanie

  5. I get the sense you have put some effort into finding the sweet spot for teaching the things you think are important for this class, and keeping the attention and interest of the class. If any of the other students are like me, that's an achievement considering my mind is often drifting off to daydream land about various projects and ideas I'm working on.

Like you said, you are being the sort of teacher you would have wanted to have when you were in school, and I think that has really shown. The subject matter was interesting and engaging, everyone was respectful, even though people got fired up at times, and heck, you even brought in cupcakes.

I've enjoyed the class, and don't really have any criticisms or things I think could have been done in a better way.

  6. Still have little interest in politics but have a better understanding of how a lot of things function and why when it comes to politics and/or government. It was interesting hearing from others when someone had a story that related to almost every topic we discussed in class. This was the one class i looked forward to throughout the week and enjoy listening to all of the different views from everyone each week. You wanted us to walk out pissed off and a couple times i did.

  7. I didn’t think I would like this class but I enjoyed it. I learned a lot about how things function in our country. I feel more interested in politics now because of all the discussions we had in class to analyze everyone’s opinions about the world's major issues. The Blog was fun it made me think and write about topics that I usually don’t voice my opinion on.

Overall it was a great class!!!!

  8. Honestly I think that this was a great class and tons of fun. I honest didn't like politics but I kind do know. There is not one thing I would change about this class at all. I really like how people opened up and shared their stories that have happened to them on what we have talked about. Overall this was and excellent class and wish you would teach other classes!:)

  9. I liked the fact that we maintain the same schedule everyday. we take a little quiz and we do a lecture and maybe a in class assignment. I also like that we where told what was on the quiz so we knew what to study. I didn't like the blogging I felt like it could be a worksheet given to us at the end of the day with that same one question on there.

  10. I enjoyed the class and really liked being able to have discussions on so many different topics. It was interesting to hear everyone’s point of view and I definitely learned a lot. I also liked the fact that we took small quizzes each week since it was less stressful than studying for bigger tests. Overall I had a great experience in the class and enjoyed having you as a teacher!
