Your Thoughts and Feedback Are Appreciated!

Well another quarter has come and gone!  I have enjoyed getting to know all of you and hearing your opinions in class!  You make my job fun! I wish all of you blessings and success in the future, and hope that you stay in touch.

So for our last blog post, I would like to get your thoughts and feedback on the class.  "What did you like or dislike about the class?  What could I do to make it better?"  Answers are due no later than Wednesday, September 21,  2016.  After that, the blog will be down until class resumes next quarter.

  1. I really love you as a teacher and as a person Ms. James. You made the class entertaining and fun to get involved in. You are very informative and helped me be smarter when it comes to what goes on in the world and how to handle it. Your passion shows when you teach, and made it to where I would like to be more passionate and more involved in politics and history. When you are passionate about the things you invest your love and time in, you inspire others to be passionate in theirs. Thank you for having me in your class!

  4. Honestly I was intimidated by the class because of the name alone because hence before this I've been interested in anything political. Moving forward 10 weeks later (minus what I've missed) I can now say that my interest level has moved (on a level of 1-10) from 0 to a very close 3. Don't get me wrong, it's not that the class didn't grab my attention, it's more so like an out of sight out of mind ordeal...it's not you it's me. I really enjoyed YOU and your free spirit, it's what helped keep me alive so, thank you!

  5. What I like about the class is taking notes from the presentation and writing down the blogs every week. I really like watching the historical and political issues on some videos. I think Stephanie is doing good on her teaching skills in class.

  6. Honestly, I feared I would absolutely hate coming to this class everyday since I am usually not so interested in politics. However, you as well as the rest of the class made this class very interesting and enjoyable to attend. Each class was set up efficiently with lectures and class activities. I also love the concept of the final project at the end because I feel as though it gives everyone a fair chance to voice their opinion on a topic if they had not done so throughout the quarter. I do not think it needs much improvement as it is perfect as it is; just keep up your amazing attitude! Thank you for everything!

  9. What I like about the Class is going through the powerpoint and listing some of the most important things that will be on the test. I also liked hearing the different perspectives even though my opinion didn't change on all the issues and how I feel about American politics it was still good to hear others perspective. I really enjoyed having you as a teacher Stephanie; thank you for teaching and bring a little laughter to the class, and Im also really glad we share a passion for foreign aid.

  11. I love all of your personal anecdotes that came along with your lectures. That made it very personable and easy to fully capture the essence of politics. You should definitely add more group projects or in class projects and activities to keep the students' attention. Although you alone is enough to have us all in tuned with what you are teaching. Enjoyed your class this quarter.

  14. I, obviously, loved the class. I wish more people got involved in politics and learned about how the system works since you know, they are the ones making the rules we have to live by. I found this class interesting as far as keeping my attention with lectures and activities. I love that you let us voice our opinions and I wish more would (I love a good debate). I enjoyed the class and you as a teacher. Thank you!
