Your Thoughts and Feedback Are Appreciated!

Well another quarter has come and gone!  I have enjoyed getting to know all of you and hearing your opinions in class!  When we started together, most of you seemed apathetic about politics, and now you are ready to go out and change the world!  I wish all of you blessings and success in the future, and hope that you stay in touch.

So for our last blog post, I would like to get your thoughts and feedback on the class.  "What did you like or dislike about the class?  What could I do to make it better?"  Answers are due no later than Wednesday, December 16th, 2015.  After that, the blog will be down until class resumes next quarter. I hope you all have a peaceful and warm holiday season!

  1. I had fun learning about the different parts of the government, ands how not all of them are complete A holes lol. I would like to learn about conservatism. That's really about it, it was a great class and I had a lot of fun.

  2. I liked the class over all. I honestly wish I had the ability to get to do the work in between my job and my other classes it almost seemed impossible. The class was good all in all. Something different would have to be something fun with the notes to help people learn the material.

  3. I liked that the class was very laid back and expressive of their thoughts on issues. I also like that the discussions were given very nicely and were interesting to listen to. Honestly I feel like you're doing a good job with the class, everything was easy to understand, and overall the class was entertaining and informative at the same time, so thank you!

  4. I liked the topics we went over. A lot of what we learned I also learned in my government class in high school. I like that the class was easygoing. I don't think you need to improve on anything you teach the class how it needs to be thought.

  5. I loved the passion that you have for politics and life. The class topics were interesting and made an impact. I loved the Al Gore video, probably because I learn best with visual aids. I think it would be great if you had debates. It would get students to look up info before class and learn on their own. Keep on rocking. You're the a explosive material to provide an extremely sudden and violent release of energy. : )

  6. This class has been really enjoyable and fun to experience as well as impacting on the perspective I have for politics. There was a lot of laughter while also explaining topics that are relative and critical to american life which makes it easy to retain information as well as reflect upon it enjoyably. If I had one suggestion I'd say potentially a political debate could be very effective in having two teams split into republican and democratic parties arguing over certain stances. I get the thought such an exercise could create epiphanic awareness amongst students about the perspective of politicans. Other than that I'd say you're golden on the strategy you use to encourage awareness and influence certain action the heavily affects our own future. So with that I say this class will be missed and keep doing your thing whatever educational sugar your placing in this political kool-aid is "bomb" lol.

p.s. When mentioning me in future classes make me seem cryptic and elusive to the comprehension of the average mind.

  7. I really liked the routine of the class week by week. Do your blog every week, take your quiz every week and work on your final project alongside it. It makes it easy to remember what needs to be done during a busy week of classes. I would definitely recommend you continue with that. I don't have any suggestions to make it any better, it was already really enjoyable.

  8. I really enjoyed this class when I thought that I wouldn't. I have a better understanding of politics and I'm not like " I just don't care, idk what's going on" I understand the bigger picture and it pisses me off and I hope with my new knowledge on politics helps open eyes of others when I share. OverallI liked everything about this class, I liked how you would tell us that this slide may be a quiz question.

  11. I thought the class was very enjoyable. I've learned an ample amount in this class way more than my government class in high school. You always came to class interested in sharing political knowledge with all of us each week, and that was good enough for me. I honestly wouldn't change anything to try and make the class better.

  12. This class over all was a good class, I've leaned a lot of things I didn't know before this class about politics that will be helpful for me in the future. I have a better understanding of politics and I care more about them now.

  13. I really liked this class. I felt I genuinely learned a lot but was also encouraged to try and learn things on my own as well. I also really enjoyed the inclusion of this blog as an assignment - I feel like it got me thinking a bit more. I can't really think of anything I'd change. Thanks Stephanie!

  14. I hated everything about it, well, not everything, well, not half of it, well, it wasn't that bad, well, I don't know, it was fine, it was pretty good, not great, but it was interesting, although somewhat boring, maybe not too boring, I kinda liked it, but didn't......I still don't know the point of having a pocket constitution, or having a full scale replica of the Constitution -which we all know you have. You're funny, and boring, but a funny-boring, like women comedians, but they aren't funny, just boring. You're a woman comedian, or maybe just a teacher who is somewhat funny, you know what? Politics is boring and you're just the middle (wo)man of political borededom. I don't know why I've put so much time into this, didn't want to do it,but I knew it had to be done. I dream of a day when I don't have to listen to you rambling about supreme nachos of justice, or whatever that dumb restaurant was, I wasn't listening, but that day is tomorrow and tomorrow will not come fast enough. There are many minutes left in the day and these are minutes I will never have again (agayne). What is the supreme nachos of justice, anyways? Is it real? Were you making that up or was I, as I remain right now? I'm dumb, I need to read more better and pay some money for more better attention deficit. You're class infected my brain with words I don't want to ever use agayne, like deficit, or defeecit, or def-I-sit. Is that what apple calls there spending account or is it just called I sit? Either way, I will have to sit through another one of your semi-boring-not-funny-interesting-kinda funny-not boring classes. In other news, there was a man who said three cents don't make a mile, but congress makes no cents, that has never made any sense but I--AUTOMATIC MESSAGE FROM GOOGLE MESSAGING*****please stop this madness and post a comment idiot********

  16. I thought the class was more entertaining than I was expecting. I feel more aware of the politics around me. I learned a lot in this class. In high school I took a government class but it was just basic stuff. Overall I enjoyed it.

  17. I didn't have any dislikes, I defiantly learned a lot. All the material we went over and political issues we discussed really made me think differently about politics.

  18. This class has made me think more about politics and care more about what is going on around me. I liked hearing the discussion and learning what other peoples thoughts were about the topics. Overall I really like the classes you teach it doesn't matter which one it is!

  19. I enjoyed the class very much, when I first started In week one I did not like nor hate the topic on politics but as weeks progressed I became more interested and I must say that leaving your class with a little bit of an attitude on how much we are being screwed, made me want to be more involved. I am truly going to miss this class, I wish there was like a part two or three to this class so I can graduate with all the attitude in the world directed towards making movements for changes in a positive way. thank you so much for your time and the knowledge you have given us.

  20. I liked this class as it is,and like how it is taught. I can't think much about what else can be done to make it better. Even though i knew nothing about politics, government, and other various political issues, this course was a good introduction toward it. I would say that i understand politics now a little bit, and it has changed my view as to how i used to think about it before I took this class.
